Sandy Creek is a picturesque stream flowing alongside the Natchez Trace in the Rocky Springs section of the Parkway where you can take off your shoes and do a little wading at the right time of the year.  A friend of mine has found arrowheads and other artifacts here, possibly from the Civil War.
